The longest serving Syrian Arab prisoner of war in 'Israel,' has been freed after 27 years behind 'Israeli's' bars.



Sedki al-Maket, who was arrested in August 1985 for resisting the 'Israeli, occupation of the Golan Heights, was released and returned to his hometown of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights. He received a hero's welcome by his town.



He was sentanced by an 'Israeli' military court for 27 years and served his sentence in full.
